Billy’s Wood Works was started in October 2008 after Billy Geddings decided to take his handmade wood trays and bowls to some Art and Craft Shows. As a boy growing up in Paxville, South Carolina, Billy enjoyed making things especially out of wood. In the mid 1970’s, he started working with tupelo wood making trays with the help of a dentist friend Dr. L. A. Robinson. He is probably best known for making trays in the shape of the state South Carolina and burning in the palmetto tree and crescent Carolina moon. He can make a tray in the shape of any other state requested having already made orders for the state of North Carolina, Georgia, and West Virginia. One tray may require ten hours or up to thirty man-hours to complete. He is making replicas of the old dough bowls or round biscuit bowls. His trays are perfect to use at a cook out for steaks or burgers or even displaying fruit or magazines. Come check out Billy’s unique items at the Gaillard. Manning, SC

Boykin Spaniel Rescue, Inc. (BSR, Inc.) will be located in the Conservation Tent at Marion Square Park during SEWE. BSR, Inc. is an organization dedicated to rehoming unwanted or neglected purebred Boykin Spaniels. Each Boykin placed by BSR receives veterinary care and a temperament evaluation prior to placement in an adoptive home as well as being spayed or neutered. Based primarily in the southeastern USA, BSR, Inc. is growing into a national network of volunteers who regularly contact their area shelters and veterinarian offices for Boykins who need help. As of November 13, 2000, BSR, Inc. became officially incorporated and has received 501(c)3 status as a tax-exempt entity. BSR, Inc. operates solely on volunteer labor and from adoption fees and generous donations from those concerned for our Little Brown Dogs. Hollywood, SC
