Sue's artwork is "inspired by [her] love of the natural world, and all creatures great and small." She travelled extensively all over the world and her subject matter has included insects and toads, dogs and giraffes, and many creatures in between. She is an avid birder and butterflier and has been either an officer or board member of her local Audubon chapter since 1985. In December, 2008 twenty four of Sue's drawings were published as illustrations in "The Second Breeding Bird Atlas of New York State" published by Cornell University Press.
