Emerging artist Bobby Lewis has studied with art schools in Rome, Italy and Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He has since traveled intensely to different parts of the world for months on end to study his subjects firsthand, enjoying unforgettable experiences along the way. His intensity and passion for life have certainly transcended his artwork. Bobby strongly feels a canvas is a tool to reach an audience in a silent yet incredibly powerful manner that needs not a spoken word.
He has had many influences in painting, but possibly none more meaningful than the incredible 30,000 year old European cave paintings which are thought to be one of the earliest known forms of art. And amazingly, most of these cave painting images contain wildlife scenes with rhinos, lions, bison, mammoths and antelope. Bobby feels there is no better way of connecting directly with world history and world issues than painting wildlife, as it quite possibly has the longest and most important history of all art forms.
