Kelly Leahy-Radding received a Certificate of Botanical Art and Illustration from The New York Botanical Garden in June of 2002. Kelly specializes in painting botanicals and natural history, developing her style with field observation on location, then translating her natural experiences to paintings in the studio. She paints with watercolors, gouache and egg tempera, most recently painting on calfskin vellum. Kelly is member of the American Society of Botanical Artists, the New England Society of Botanical Artists, the Brooklyn Botanical Garden Florilegium Society and the Guild of Natural Science Illustrators. Kelly is an award winning artist who has exhibited her work in local solo, regional group and national/international juried shows including Birds in Art 2010, Art & The Animcal Kingdom, The Hunt Institute for Botanical Documentation, the Horticultural Society of New York and numerous international juried ASBA exhibits. Kelly was jurried into the Society of Animal Artists this past October and was juried straight to a Signature Member.
