Kathleen Earthrowl, an award-winning mid-career contemporary artist in the Houston community, paints water and land from an abstract perspective. Earthrowl’s paintings are about color, movement, texture, line, the wild and rough in nature and a sublime serenity. Her brushwork is vigorous and spontaneous. She describes herself as a “sensual colorist” meaning that the senses are alive and part of the painting. Vibrant yet soothing, her work is often described as healing, calm, serene and moving.
