Primarily self taught, however have sought out and studied with various modern masters. I prefer working in a loose painterly style with vibrant colors. I am a juried member of artists for conservation, often featured in fly fishing and sportfishing magazines. Have done work for various corporations including Cabo Yachts, just moved to Mt Pleasant and wondering why it took me so long and if you google Mike Savlen you can find out probably far more than you would ever want to know about me.
