The goal of SEWE’s Kids for Conservation program is to promote wildlife and environmental conservation awareness in young people.

Sponsored by SCANA, the KFC competition is open to all Tri-County students (public, private and home schooled) in grades 1–12.  This year, SEWE has expanded the program with the addition of 3 new competitions. 

The Poster Competition is open to 1st through 5th grades.

The Poetry Competition & Photography Competition is open to 6th through 8th grades.
(For complete middle school packet, see link below.)

 

The Birdhouse Competition and Conservation Project Competition is open to 9th through 12th grades.
(For complete high school packet, see link below.)

 

KFC poster, poetry, photography and conservation project entries will be on display in the KFC Tent on Marion Square during the weekend of the Expo.  The birdhouses will be on display in the Main Branch of the Charleston County Public Library from January 15th - February 28th.
