About Kim
I have spent the majority of my life studying animals in their natural habitat. I place a great deal of emphasis on a creature’s personality. My desire is not merely to replicate my subjects, but to capture their essence as the focal point in my sculptures. I enjoy using sinuous curves and glassy-smooth surfaces to entice people to touch.” Shaklee’s bronzes are in many public collections, including the National Zoo in Washington D.C., Oklahoma City Zoo, Little Rock Arkansas Zoo, Azalea Park Sculpture Garden, Summerville, SC and Benson Park Sculpture Garden in Loveland, CO. She is a Fellow in the American Society of Marine Artists
