Suzie Seerey-Lester is an internationally known, award winning wildlife artist. She started painting as a teenager, and as an adult, took her first art class. Suzie spent years working on her craft, going to different workshops, and learning from anyone she could. Now, she is known for her wildlife art, as well as buildings and her bird paintings. Suzie likes to paint the hard lines of something man-made, like a barn, and add the softness of an animal or bird. Suzie will frequently use a large mammal, or her favorite owls in different environments. She will only paint things that she has personally seen in the wild. She is a master of acrylic, oil, and watercolor. For over twenty years Suzie and her husband Sir John taught classes all over the world, frequently using live wildlife as models.

Suzie teaches MasterClass painting classes all over the United States. Teaching new techniques, demonstrations, sales, and marketing information to new students. One class they teach in Montana allows the students to photograph and sketch animals in wild locations, with nothing between you and the animals. Some of the animals are arctic wolves, timber wolves, tigers, mountain lions, fox, lynx, bobcat, otter, grizzly and black bear, just to name a few, then teach students to paint these magnificent animals back in the studio, later in the day. Classes are always lots of fun. Suzie has continued teaching after John’s passing.
In January 2000 Suzie married world-renowned wildlife artist, John Seerey-Lester, and her life has been an adventure ever since. They live, work, and play in Florida. John, the love of her life passed away in 2020.
Suzie is considered by many to be a real Mermaid.
