About Vladimir
First of all painting is meant for me "poetic" rendering of a subject.
Inspiration comes to me from the play of light, rivers, sky, emotions and gestures- from unique moments of live.
He was a student of Yury Scorikov, professor at Leningrad Academy of Art and Honored Artist of the Russian Federation. While he lived in Leningrad (St. Petersburg) Every summer he would go to small concealed villages in the mountains of the Caucasus to get inspired by oriental romanticism, where he would create plain air paintings of people, horses and landscapes.
Vladimir is a Signature Member of Oil Painters of America and participated in the numerous Juried National and Regional Art Exhibitions, C.M. Russell Art Auctions in Great Falls Montana and Western Art Auction, Calgary Stampede, Alberta.
My paintings can be found in such prestigious museum permanent collections as: The State Russian Museum, St.-Petersburg, Russia; Emil Cedercreutz Museum, Finland; Art Museum of Iverdon, Switzerland; Military Medical Museum of Defense, St –Petersburg, Russia and in private collections worldwide.
