National Marine Mammal Foundation Dolphin Doctor Hands-On Workshop Experience

NMMF will conduct interactive Dolphin Doctor: On the Front Lines of Marine Mammal Medicine workshops for SEWE participants. This program focuses on marine mammal medicine, science, and technology, and applications to the conservation of marine mammals worldwide. Hands-on educational activities can be adapted for all ages, including mock wild dolphin health checks with inflatable dolphins; ultrasound demonstrations featuring real examples of baby dolphin, lung, and cardiac images from those impacted by oil spills; satellite tag tracking of animals; crossbow dart sampling; and entanglement examples.
