Lita’s work is inspired by the colors in nature and how they constantly change with daylight and atmosphere. She strives to show the effect of these changes on the mood and temperature of each painting. Growing up in middle Georgia, the daughter of a wildlife manager, sketches of game were some of her first artwork. She now primarily paints wildlife, dog portraits and landscapes of the low country and North Carolina mountains. With a degree in finance and a seventeen year career in banking, Lita has spent the last seventeen years pursuing her true vocation and developing her artwork.
