The Dewberry is pleased to welcome celebrated artist, naturalist, and conservationist, Chris Maynard, as the Artist-in-Residence for SEWE 2024. Throughout SEWE weekend guest can meet and witness the artist at work where he carves naturally shed feathers into intricate compositions by cutting them into detailed shapes and arranging the cutouts into alluring scenes that celebrate the life and flight of birds and the meaning that birds and flight have for us.
Maynard’s artwork will also be on view in the Vitrine in the Historic Lobby of The Dewberry hotel as part of his residency.
Hours are Friday, February 16, 6-9 pm and Saturday, Feb 17, 3-6 pm.
